No Other Name – Live Worship Album

Erik PalmerNews, WorshipDecember 10, 2013 4 Comments0

noothernameWe’re so thrilled to introduce our first live album, No Other Name.  And we’re hopeful that it’s the first of many.  There was very little discussion over what the vision for this particular project would be.  We simply wanted to produce an album that puts great worship music into the hands of our people – but ultimately is filled with songs that have become the heartbeat of who we are as worshipers and how we desire to see God work in our church, both now and in the future.

The album title, No Other Name, comes from the lyrics of the song Forever Reign – a song that has resonated with so many of our people over the past year.  We hold to a firm belief that God desires our worship and He empowers us to worship Him through the power of the Holy Spirit. It should be the desire of our hearts to praise no other name but the name of Jesus.  As a church, when we gather together, worship together, and experience the love and mercy of our God together, we are reminded of how nothing can ever compare to the embrace of our Savior.

We hope that when you listen to these twelve songs, you’re reminded of how blessed we are to praise Him with our voices every week… from the bottom of our souls to the top of our lungs.

The Green Room Sessions: Closer

Jason VanDorstenDoxologies, Green Room Sessions, Media, Resources, WorshipNovember 22, 20130

We’re introducing the song Closer in our worship services this weekend. In the latest edition of the Green Room Sessions, Erik Palmer, Jesse Trask and Paul Goodnight discuss why Jesse was banned from GRS, their recent trip to Brazil with Open Arms, and how this song ties directly into our church’s mission statement, knowing Christ and making Him known.

The Green Room Sessions are a sneak peak into the heart of the worship ministry at Reston Bible Church. We have a huge desire to communicate God’s Word through song and respond to the Spirit, freely worshiping when we’re together. Our hope is that these short videos will provide an extension of the community at RBC and supply your home, car, and office with great songs about the greatness and love of our incredibly able God.

VIDEO: Our God is Love

Jason VanDorstenMedia, Missions, WorshipNovember 11, 2013 1 Comment0

On the heels of our 2013 Missions Conference, we’ve sent some of the RBC worship team to Brazil this week in partnership with Open Arms. They will be headlining a concert there and will have many opportunities to share – and show – the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The team will use a version of the video above (featuring Hillsong’s Our God is Love) to promote the concert, which takes place this Thursday (November 14) in Assis. We thought you would enjoy it, too. Please pray for our team and their time in Brazil. You can learn more about their project and specific ways to pray here.

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” – 1 John 4:9-10
