On the evening of March 3, our facility was transformed into a medieval castle for the “Fair Maiden’s Ball,” our annual Daddy-Daughter dance.
The event was sold out! The princesses, accompanied by dads, grand-dads, uncles, and family friends, were welcomed at the door by their hosts, the king, and princess Bela, and treated to an evening of royal crafts, desserts, and a whirl in the royal ballroom. A good time was had by all. Kings and princesses alike were encouraged in their relationship with one another as well as with Jesus, the King of kings.
If you missed the Ball, do not worry. You can get a dad and daughter date passport from the Quest desk (in the RBC Children’s Ministry area) and begin to prepare for next year’s event. A special thank you to the Lady Hannah Huthwaite and her team of royal volunteers for a spectacular event!
The Bible starts with a marriage and ends with a marriage. We are God’s image bearers – male and female – we were designed to become one. Even though the culture has changed, God’s design has not.
Maybe you’d like to turn a good marriage into a great marriage. Or maybe you’re in a struggling marriage and need help, hope and direction. Or perhaps you’re just about to begin the journey of marriage and want to set out in the right direction.
Wherever you are in the journey of marriage, we invite you to join us the weekend of January 27-28, 2017 for our annual marriage conference. Author and speaker Dr. Michael Easley will help us review the biblical basis of God’s specific design for marriage and share how we can re-align our expectations toward His ideas. Michael is husband to Cindy, dad to four, pastor to Fellowship Bible Church in Nashville, and host of the podcast, Michael Easley inContext.
We invite you to join Michael and his wife Cindy on this journey of The Marriage you Have vs. the Marriage you Want! Renew, realign and re-calibrate your relationship into a new set of expectations that are both realistic and biblical. In addition to the conference itself, we would also like to encourage you to take the opportunity to stay overnight at the beautiful Hilton Doubletree at our discounted rate. You can choose to stay in-between the Friday night and Saturday morning conference sessions or for the entire weekend. It’s a great opportunity to disconnect and relax without the travel.
The cost of the Marriage Conference is only $45 per couple. Register here by Christmas Day to receive a $10 discount. Hotel accommodations for one or both nights can be made through this Conference Registration as well. We hope to see you there!

To volunteer, contact Barb Ruffner.
OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: Food Pantry
We are in need of volunteers to pick up donated food from local stores. The more volunteers we have, the less pick-ups any one person needs to do. RBC YOUTH BIKE TRIP 2016: Scholarship Need
There is a need for scholarships for the friends who are going on the Bike Trip. We would love to remove the cost of the trip as a barrier for friends to go. On the Bike Trip, everyone will be challenged to grow personally and to explore how the gospel applies to their life. The cost of the trip is $550. We see this as a direct investment that can have a great impact on teens in our area. Contact Bob Shull if you have any questions. If you would like to donate to the Bike Trip, you can find that option on the RBC online giving page.
2015 CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS
Giving statements are now available in your myRBC profile. As we have done the past several years, your statement will not be mailed to you unless you specifically ask us to do so. This saves us hundreds of dollars in labor and postage, money we would rather spend on ministry. If you need help setting up a myRBC profile, contact me. Here are the steps to print your giving statement:
- Click on the “$/Give” button on the left
- Click on “Schedules/History” at the top
- Click on “Giving Statement” (upper right corner)
- Make sure “Type” is set to “Family”
- Set the “Quick Date Range” to “Last Year” (or another year of your choice) and then click “Run Report”
INCLEMENT WEATHER UPDATES
Whenever there is the chance of weather affecting ministry activities or Sunday services, an announcement will be posted on our website (www.restonbible.org) at the top of our home page.
