The mission of RBC’s Meals Service is to demonstrate the love of our Lord and make Him known by providing meals to those in need within our body and to supplement the care already being provided to the RBC body.
Join Us In Serving Others!
Our Meals Service Team seeks to honor and glorify God and serve the Reston Bible Church community by providing food, love, and prayer. We strive to embody the call that “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35).
We are always looking for additional women (or men!) who have a heart to serve their sisters and brothers at RBC in this way. Whether you love to cook, or are simply willing to pick up and deliver a nourishing meal, we could use your help!
How It Works
In coordination with Shepherd Groups, we link those in need of a meal with someone willing to provide for them. If you are a part of a Shepherd Group, the Shepherd Group leader is first asked to fulfill the need. For those not yet a part of a Shepherd Group, those in need are linked with those on our volunteer list to provide meals.
If you are willing to join our volunteer list (no recurring commitment required) please fill out our volunteer form and you’ll be contacted with more information on this service community.

There are many reasons individuals, or families, go through stressful times. From a new baby, to the loss of a job, to caring for health issues, we understand life gets hard.
If this sounds like you, or you know of a time coming up where you or your family would be blessed to have meals show up at your door for a period of time, simply fill out the Request a Meal form.
If you are a part of a Shepherd Group, first get in touch with your leader to coordinate meals from within your community. If you are not yet a part of a Shepherd Group we will match you with people in our body who are willing to make meals and set up your meal delivery!
Request a mealFrequently Asked Questions
How often will I be asked to make meals?
When a meal is requested that is not covered by a Shepherd Group, or needed for an extended period of time, the Meals Service team will be notified. You may sign up for as many meals as you would like to.
Where do I deliver the meal?
Meals are most often delivered to the home, but sometimes other arrangements are made such as leaving meals at RBC for pick up, having meals picked up at your home, etc.
Does the meal need to be homemade?
No. For example you could purchase a rotisserie chicken, salad bag, rolls and side dish at the grocery store.
Who can receive meals?
In conjunction with care given by Shepherd Groups and/or other small groups within RBC, meals will be provided when requested for those in the body at RBC who are in need due to a new baby, sickness, hospitalization, death, or other life events., death, or other hardships.
