What a great thing to take in on a Monday after preaching the day before. I remember Mike teaching during my formative years to not only be in the word, but to stay in it until God shows me something. Good counsel just doesn’t go out of style! WIth the press of teaching every week, sometimes there’s a little anxiety when that “something I’ve never seen before” doesn’t show up “on time.” I’m learning bit by bit to just relax and enjoy the delay–often it’s something goofy in me that needs dealt with first. Also appreciate the brilliant simplicity of conviction being distinct from guilt (or condemnation). Targeting those far from God, who maybe hate church and Christians, and might even think they hate God means we just can’t get away with condemnation–it’s what they expect, and they’ll never come back. But conviction and a call to a decision? That works with this crowd. Can’t wait for the next installment!! Thanks, Mike and RBC!

Thank you for taking time and intentionally pouring into young leaders & pastors. I so appreciate your heart to do this but then your follow-through. I’m a guy that needs as much help as I can get in teaching and communication:) I’m looking forward to taking 5 minutes out of my day to learn from you.
