Doxologies: Panel on Worship, Part 17
In the next segment of our discussion on worship, the panel talks about the importance of preparing our hearts for worship, and the challenge of that in the midst of a materialistic culture. But “whether you are an affluent Northern Virginian or an impoverished Amazonian, the same God has saved you through the same cross and the same shed blood.”
We welcome questions that you might have regarding anything discussed for potential further dialogue, etc. You can send those in to worship@restonbible.org. We pray these videos will encourage you and stir your affection for Jesus and His Word.

Doxologies: Panel on Worship, Part 14

Our panel on worship concludes with a conversation about the importance of individual worship throughout the week, as well as worship in the corporate gathering as the body of Christ. In our whole lives we must “taste and see that the Lord is good.”

Doxologies: Panel on Worship, Part 11
How does our view of the church affect our worship of God? In the eleventh part of our panel on worship, Jason VanDorsten walks through Ephesians 5 to show how marriage is a living parable of the Gospel, and it points to the church as the beautiful bride of Christ. But all of the beauty the church possesses is because Jesus ascribes it to her.

Doxologies: Shadow of the Cross

Everything Jesus did was done with His death in view.
“Shadow of the Cross” is a song written in an effort to capture this stunning reality: Jesus Christ always knew that death on a cross was the climax of His mission. In other words, every thought, every feeling, and every action of Jesus’ life was done “in the shadow of the cross.” The cross was always looming before Him, and He was always moving toward it.
The acoustic version of “Shadow of the Cross” is available at iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, and Google Play. The full studio version will be coming soon!
We have created a study guide that, along with the song, is designed to help us move through Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday with deep reflection and growing gratitude as we focus our attention on the events that occurred the week leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection.
