- When Pastor Jim spoke about the tendency of all people toward idolatry, how did that strike you? Do you believe this is true? Why or why not?
- Jesus pulled the thread on the rich young man’s efforts to follow the commandments and be self-justified. Jesus ultimately exposed the inadequacy of relying on good works for salvation. Discuss the place of works in your own journey with Christ.
- In an effort to focus on Christ, discuss how well you do in the day to day at seeing God as the giver of all good things?
- If all things belong to the Lord how do you seek to steward those resources for the glory of God?
