Role Call, Part 3: In the ChurchAudio | DownloadAs we continue in our series on gender roles, Pastor Mike looks at roles in the context of the body of Christ - the church. The second half of 1 Timothy 2 has often been misinterpreted and misused. While scripture prohibits women from pastor/elder roles in context of the local church, the sweeping narrative of scripture provides clarity - men and women, while different in role, are equal in value before God.

Resurrecting the ResurrectionAudio | DownloadThe resurrection of Jesus Christ is often lost in the shuffle of legalism and moralism. The Greatest Movement Ever, Part 2Audio | DownloadThere is a false dichotomy prevalent in our culture that draws a dividing line between the laity and clergy - only "special" Christians participate in "real ministry". We must recalibrate our thinking of "church" to rest primarily upon a biblical view, where all believers in Christ are saints and are thus equipped for the work of ministry through His power. There should be no mere spectators in the arena of the local church.

The Greatest Movement Ever, Part 1Audio | DownloadWhat is "church"? We tend to think mainly in terms of "going to church" - church as a building or a service with a start time and an end time.
