Relocation

Frequently Asked Questions

2. Other than increased size and fewer worship services, what significant changes will occur in the scope and kind of ministries our church will do in the new, relocated facility?

A primary goal in relocating to a larger facility is the ability it will give to ministries that we do not presently have. We want families to be able to worship together where parents and older children can attend a worship service together as well as both attend ministries such as Adult Bible Fellowships and Youth Ministry activities at the same geographical location. Children’s ministries would consist of separate Sunday School and Children’s Church activities. Families will not have to drive between facilities on a Sunday morning between the three geographical locations where ministry occurs presently.

The new facility will also accommodate new and important dimensions to current ministries. One important need that the new facility will accomplish is space to mingle and fellowship before and after services. No longer will there be the need to urge people to empty the sanctuary for the next service and find no place to “meet and greet.” A generously sized foyer is a key aspect of the new building. Additionally, there will be a variety of rooms available for differing size ministries. The auditorium will be conducive to production outreach events like Conversations, only with more room and better lighting and sound. There will be a medium-size room that would serve as a seminar facility or perhaps a wedding chapel. The expanded facility would house a number of new and expanded ministries that we desire, including Adult Bible Fellowships on Sunday mornings, a counseling center, food bank storage/distribution, etc.
