As we continue in our series on gender roles, Pastor Mike looks at roles in the context of the body of Christ – the church. The second half of 1 Timothy 2 has often been misinterpreted and misused. While scripture prohibits women from pastor/elder roles in context of the local church, the sweeping narrative of scripture provides clarity – men and women, while different in role, are equal in value before God.
