Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the discount code to use. Additionally, you may apply for financial aid when you register. Scholarships range from $100 to $350 off. All scholarships require students to complete 10 hours of volunteer work for RBC to “work” for their week of camp.
Due to COVID, we will accept cancellations for a full refund until one week prior to departure for camp.
Our Heart and COVID
This past year has been hard on everyone, and we have seen a lot of negative impacts in the physical, emotional, and spiritual lives of our teens. Our heart is to provide as “normal” of a summer camp week as possible, so that they can build real in-person relationships with each other and clearly hear from the Lord. We need a restart, and we believe God wants to speak to each of our students. Currently we are praying that none of the COVID precautions we have been using this past year (e.g., masks inside, testing, distancing), will still be required at Summer Camp. A final decision on the required precautions (if any) will be made one month before camp based on Appalachian Bible College’s guidelines, current CDC guidance, and West Virginia state laws, and approved by RBC’s Elders. Please note that the majority of our time will be spent outdoors. The instances where we are inside include: sleeping (all rooms only sleep between 2-5 students), meetings (we typically have 300 people in an auditorium with 700 stadium seats), and eating (the cafeteria can seat 350, so we may be required to eat in shifts). If you do not feel comfortable with precautions, we will provide a full refund up to one week before departure.
Our Speaker: Nate Crew
Nate is originally from Alabama, but graduated from Liberty University, where he worked in the grounds crew with Lee Banton. He was a missionary in the Dominican Republic and a pastor at Mclean Bible, before starting CityLight Church in Falls Church two years ago. He and his wife, Kristen, have 4 children and are active foster care parents. We are excited to have him share his passion for Jesus and caring for others with our students this year at Summer Camp.
Our Location: Appalachian Bible College
We are back in Mt. Hope, West Virginia, on one of the most beautiful college campuses around. The activity options near campus are excellent: paintball, caving, white-water rafting, and more! But what keeps us coming back year after year is the character and heart of the college staff there.
During the week, we have several group games and activities planned, plus free time where students can play frisbee, soccer, basketball, fly off of the “blob,” zip line over the lake, or challenge themselves on the climbing tower. All students also get to spend a day at the lake participating in water sports such as tubing & water skiing. Finally, all students will have the opportunity to spend one day doing an activity of their choice. When you register online, you will rank your preference of which activity you would like to do.
- Whitewater Rafting: Raft through the “Grand Canyon of the East” on the New River as you ride the rapids with your friends.
- Paintball: Face off against your friends in a friendly yet competitive game of paintball in a rugged woodland course.
- Caving: Explore God’s underground creation with a helmet and headlamp leading the way.
- High Ropes: Test your faith as you rise to a higher level! You will be challenged through a series of obstacles and activities in a multi-level, high angle environment.
- Mountain Hiking: Hike along the beautiful, winding, Glade Creek mountain stream. Take a break and cool your feet in its refreshing waters.
