- What was one thing in this message that you found particularly encouraging, beneficial, or challenging?
- Would you describe your walk with God as an adventure? Why or why not?
- Read and discuss Romans 15:30-33. What are Paul’s requests? What is motivating him? How were Paul’s requests answered?
- What is God’s mission? What is His work? What is God doing in the world? Why is knowing the storyline of the Bible vital for answering these questions?
- Read through Pastor Steve’s “Four-Fold Praise” booklet. What is the job description of the Holy Spirit? Why is this important to understand if we are join God in His work?
- What is the role of prayer in the life of a Christ-follower? What obstacles to prayer have you experienced? How have you seen God use your prayers?
- In what ways might God be calling you to “seize the day” and be a person of hope for the sake of the gospel? What steps of faith and obedience do you need to take to be “on mission”? Spend some time in prayer for the things you’ve discussed.
