Holiness is the attribute of God upon which all of His other attributes are built. It is the gathering of all the perfections of God put together.

- What stood out to you in this message?
- Based on the points made in the message, how well do you feel you are able to maintain a perspective on the exalted holiness (separateness) of God?
- Knowing that are sins are “forgotten” by God at salvation helps us to want to be inattentive to our sin as well. How does a believer walk in freedom but maintain connection with the reality of the depths of our sin?
- Luke 7:47 says that whoever has been forgiven much, loves much. Maintaining connection with the magnitude of our sin and what’s been forgiven should cause us to love much. Is this how you think it typically works with people? Explain.
- Discuss the reality of being set apart legally in Christ, but needing to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live it out practically. How can we avoid legalism in this process?
- React to Robert Murray McCheyne’s statement, “A holy man (or woman) is a mighty weapon in the hands of God.” Do you see yourself that way? Why or why not?
