Welcome to Easter at Reston Bible Church! He is risen, indeed!

How Deep the Father's Love For Us

How deep the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.

How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory.

Behold the man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers.

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished.

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection.

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom.

King of Kings

In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope without light
‘Til from heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt

CHORUS
Praise the Father, praise the Son,
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
To reveal the kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross
For even in Your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake You died

CHORUS

And the morning that You rose
All of Heaven held its breath
‘Til that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death
And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who’d come
To the Father are restored

And the church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel shall not faint
By His blood and in His name
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me

CHORUS

Your Great Name

Lost are saved, find their way
At the sound of Your great name
All condemned, feel no shame
At the sound of Your great name
Every fear has no place
at the sound of Your great name
The enemy, he has to leave
At the sound of Your great name

CHORUS
Jesus, worthy is the Lamb that was slain for us
Son of God and Man, You are high and lifted up
All the world will praise Your great name

All the weak find their strength
At the sound of Your great name
Hungry souls receive grace
At the sound of Your great name
The fatherless they find their rest
At the sound of Your great name
Sick are healed, the dead are raised
At the sound of Your great name

CHORUS
Jesus, worthy is the Lamb that was slain for us
Son of God and Man, You are high and lifted up
All the world will praise Your great name

Christ the Lord Is Risen Today

Christ the Lord is risen today, alleluia
Sons of men and angels say, alleluia
Raise your joys and triumphs high, alleluia
Sing ye heavens and earth reply, alleluia

Lives again our glorious King, alleluia
Where, oh death, is now thy sting, alleluia
Dying once He all doth save, alleluia
Where thy victory, O grave, alleluia

CHORUS
He is not dead, He is alive
We have this hope in Jesus Christ

Love’s redeeming work is done, alleluia
Fought the fight the battle won, alleluia
Death in vain forbids Him rise, alleluia
Christ has opened paradise, alleluia

CHORUS
He is not dead, He is alive
We have this hope in Jesus Christ

Soar we now where Christ has led, alleluia
Following our exalted Head, alleluia
Made like Him, like Him we rise, alleluia
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, alleluia

CHORUS x2
He is not dead, He is alive
We have this hope in Jesus Christ
