"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Galatians 5:14)
This unique season is a unique opportunity to love our neighbors as ourselves. On this page, we will provide ways that you can minister to those in our community during this time, and how you can seek help if you need it.
CARING FOR THE RBC BODY
To help us assess the unfolding needs of the congregation during this unusual season, please notify us if you or someone you know within RBC needs assistance in any area. Please contact one of our receptionists at 703-404-5010, Dale Peak at email@example.com or the deacons at firstname.lastname@example.org.
CARING FOR THOSE AROUND US
You can care for your community by reaching out to your neighbors. A saint at RBC suggested a tangible way to demonstrate love to our neighbors as well as inviting your community to our live stream church service in hopes of spreading the gospel. We’ve created a template you can use to leave notes for those around you.
Our liaison, Leigh Ann Kiendl (email@example.com) is our point of contact for needs at Guilford. If you or your shepherd group are looking for ways to give or serve the Guilford community, please let Leigh Ann know. She has a signup for packing bags on Thursdays, “adopting” a family in need, and she can schedule pickup of any food or toiletry donations.
According to our Food Pantry manager, the food pantry will reopen on its normal day, next Wednesday March 25. They will only be able to serve the clients that are registered in the system. As of today, our food suppliers have plenty of food and the necessary volunteers to support our effort. Should these circumstances change or need more volunteers, we will let you know
Virtual Prayer Groups
Groups are being established and will run until the COVID-19 pandemic subsides. Our objective is to provide an outlet of prayer for many issues surrounding the pandemic while providing a community gathering for RBC saints.
These groups take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:10 p.m. To join a virtual prayer meeting, please dial either 717-275-8940 (primary) or 712-832-8330 (secondary) and the access code 963 3422 #. If you get a busy signal, please trying dialing several times due to network congestion. The number and access code will remain the same for all virtual prayer meetings. The meetings will be led by either pastors or elders and will last about 30 minutes. We hope you will join us!
A few other notes when you join the meetings:
- Mute your device when you are not speaking. (You will enter the call muted, and you can press *6 to mute/unmute.)
- Use headphones if accessing the call via computer/laptop/tablet.
- If accessing via a smartphone or office phone, make sure the speakerphone option is NOT on.
