SUMMARY:P.I.E. Outreach Event
DESCRIPTION:  \n\nWant to see God show up?\nThe Living on Mission team at RBC is hosting an outreach on Sunday. September 24th from 12:15pm to 4:30pm that we are calling P.I.E.  – Pizza\, Intercessory Prayer\, and Evangelism. \nThe P.I.E. acronym describes what we will be doing that day. We will meet in room 250 immediately after the second service\, where we be providing you lunch (pizza)\, give you a briefing about the outreach\, have a time of intercessory prayer (praying on behalf of others – in this case\, for those we will be talking to)\, and then drive to the location to talk with people there (evangelism). We will be going out in groups of 3 people and asking people to share their opinions on 5 questions about their beliefs. \nEach small group will have a leader who has been trained and has experience in having spiritual conversations with people in public. The leader will take the initiative to start and to guide each conversation. Your role will be to observe\, pray\, remember the person’s name\, and to join in the conversation as you feel comfortable. We will regather the groups at the end of our time so each group can give an update on what happened and what we learned. \nPlease know that the PIE outreach is not “practice evangelism” – we will be talking with real people for a real purpose! We realize that for the people who don’t want to talk – it will just be bringing God into their thinking. For others\, we will be planting seeds as they learn some new things about God. But at times\, God does lead us to people whom He has prepared to take the step of putting their faith in Jesus. As we encounter people in each of these categories\, our goal is also to help you gain a greater confidence in God and develop a boldness in sharing the hope you have in Him with your family\, friends\, and coworkers.
