How can we tell if God is really speaking to us? In the final part of our Blindfolded series, Pastor Mike shares several principles on how we can tell if it is God speaking ...or something else. God will never lead us in a way that contradicts His word.


DISCUSSION QUESTIONS FOR SHEPHERD GROUPS
  1. Share a time in your life when God "put something on your heart" or "gave you a burden" for something. How did you know it was God?
  2. Read and discuss Nehemiah 1:1-4 and 2:16-18. What does this tell you about man? About God?
  3. To what extent are we able to have faith in our own choices?
  4. It what ways has "hearing from God" been abused?
  5. Discuss the statement, "What God calls us to is personal, not universal."
  6. Is there a difference in faith in God's Word and faith in God's leading? Why or why not?
