The Emerging Generations ministry is designed for college-aged through
twentysomething adults. We use the terms “Emerging Generations
Ministry” and “Young Adult Ministry” interchangeably. This ministry covers
a diverse demographic, including students, professionals, singles, married
couples and young parents.
7.24 is a weekly gathering of the Emerging Generations communities
focused on seeking Christ through relevant and creative elements of
music, teaching, discussion, and connection. Teaching is a major element
of this time, always with the emphasis that Jesus gives in Matthew 7:24 -
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into
practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” This past year,
our teaching series have included studies on Open Theism, Romance &
Relationships, and Matthew 7:24 (by Jason VanDorsten), Worship (by Erik
Palmer), The Theology of Guidance (by Dave Doyle), The Gravity of God’s
Glory (by Graham Baggett) and several video series with teachings by
John Piper, Mark Driscoll, Andy Stanley, Tommy Nelson, and R.C. Sproul
among others.
In the upcoming year, we hope to continue providing excellent teaching in
an atmosphere that makes it easy for young adults to connect and share
life together. We also hope to branch out in providing support to other
ministries within and beyond the walls of RBC.
7.24 meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:24 p.m. in the RBC sanctuary. We
usually take the last Tuesday of the month off.
