The purpose of the RBC Men’s Ministry is to draw men into a closer
relationship to our heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. It is the
goal of the Men’s Ministry to equip God’s men to be faithful to the Lord
Jesus Christ, to their families, to their wives, to their brothers, and to the
community. The foundation of our ministry is the authority of God’s Word.
From there, we are committed to prayer, building strong marriages, raising
up the next generation, discipleship, and personal involvement in the life
of our church and community. We desire to establish a multiplicity of
ministries and activities specifically designed to reach men where they are
in order that we might provide opportunities to build patriarchs. In order
to accomplish this, the Men’s Ministry is divided into three distinct areas -
Prepare, Connect, and Serve.
PREPARE / The focus of the Prepare ministry is to prepare men’s
minds, souls, spirits and actions to be faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ.
This includes a commitment to our wives and families, brothers in Christ,
communities, and ourselves. Central to Prepare is the teaching of and
training in God’s Word. We accomplish this through Training Faithful Men
courses, the annual Men’s Retreat, Marriage Boosters & Retreat, Men’s
Breakfasts, and weekly Prayer Warriors meetings.
CONNECT / The focus of the Connect ministry is to create and foster
opportunities for men to connect with each other in large, small and
one-on-one events and environments. The most exciting addition to the
Connect ministry this year was The Summit. The Summit is a new and
distinct quarterly event for men intended to facilitate relationships with
neighbors and co-workers in an environment that provides a starting point
for relational evangelism.
SERVE / The focus of the Serve ministry is to foster an environment that
facilitates sharing and exhibiting Christ’s love through practical acts of
service. The Serve aspect touches many lives within our church body and
beyond, through mentorship programs, international missions, clothing
drives, assistance to the elderly, the High Tech Prayer Breakfast, and
Helping Hands.
