Administration at RBC encompasses a broad range of activities that
support our ministries. The four major areas of responsibility within the
Administrator’s oversight include day-to-day financial operations, facilities
operations, technology, and ministry care.
Over this past year we have seen several major goals achieved. On the
technology side, we have implemented RBC WEBVIEW, an online system
that includes a pictorial directory, electronic giving, contribution tracking,
small groups, and online registrations. The directory portion currently
contains approximately 500 regular attendees.
In the financial arena, we switched our main operating checking accounts
to enable us to get a much better interest rate and regularly research new
secure investment opportunities for our modest reserve funds. We also
completed our annual financial audit conducted by an outside independent
accounting firm. Additionally, we changed our fiscal year to September
1 – August 31, which allows the budgeting process to coincide with the
ministry year.
Over the past year, RBC has helped a large number of people through
our Needy & Benevolent ministries. We process several requests each
week for help with food and basic living expenses (more information can
be found on the Needy & Benevolent Ministries page). We were blessed
as well to send several teams to Louisiana to support our continuing liaison
with Faith Bible Church in Slidell in their efforts to rebuild after Hurricane
Katrina. We also conducted a blood drive every 8-10 weeks and averaged
nearly 30 pints collected per drive.
Our goals for the coming year include the following: first, to better utilize
WEBVIEW by including a majority of RBC attendees and all major small
groups. Another goal is to upgrade our facilities through some major
improvements (sidewalks, carpeting, lighting and landscaping, to name
a few). We will also be setting up a capability to permit us to conduct
regular PC training in order for our staff to maximize this technology that is
so critical to accomplishing our mission to serve. The Administrative staff
will also be called upon to support our relocation efforts as it relates to
providing timely detailed financial information.
