Finding our guidance in scripture, the vision of the RBC Children’s Ministry
is to create an environment where children and their parents are loved,
introduced to Christ, steeped in the Word, mentored in their walk with God,
prepared for life in the body of Christ, and given the opportunity to honor
God with their worship and service.
To implement and achieve the above, the Children’s Ministry oversees the
following programs:
• QUEST / our weekend children’s services – Saturday evening
and Sunday morning in partnership with volunteers from our RBC
family of Christ followers
• AWANA / Club-based ministry for kids – Sunday evening core
discipleship for kids in partnership with volunteers from our RBC
family of Christ followers
• BABY QUEST / Nursery ministry for infants and toddlers
• KIT (Kids in Transition) / 6th grade boys’ and girls’ weekly
discipleship programs and end of year “rite of passage” events
This ministry year, we hosted events such as Vacation Bible School,
Parent-Child Dedications, Children’s Baptisms, Children’s Choir, Drama
Team, Missions Support Ministry, as well as Children’s Ministry volunteer
events and training sessions.
Starting in the fall of 2007, we also have specific plans to expand our Quest
worship environments, AWANA programs, missions support, and Trunk-or-
Treat outreach.
